Scholars’ Takshashila Academy respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). This DMCA Policy outlines the procedures for addressing claims of copyright infringement on our website and online platforms.

1. Reporting Copyright Infringement:
If you believe that your copyrighted work has been infringed upon on the Scholars’ Takshashila Academy website or online platforms, please notify us by sending a written notification (a “DMCA Notice”) to our designated Copyright Agent.

The DMCA Notice should include the following information:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.

  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

2. Counter-Notification:
If you believe that your material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to our Copyright Agent. The counter-notification should include:

  • Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of India, for any judicial district in which we may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the DMCA Notice.

4. Repeat Infringers:
Scholars’ Takshashila Academy reserves the right to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers of copyright.

5. Removal of Infringing Material:
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA Notice, Scholars’ Takshashila Academy will promptly remove or disable access to the infringing material and take appropriate action in accordance with the DMCA.
